I am nominated for the Liebster Award 2017
Budget Diva Magazine has been nominated for the Liebster Award 2017. How cool is that?
This virtual Award is designed by bloggers to motivate new bloggers, to be discovered and to support the community of bloggers.
This way the nominated blog is in the spotlight for a while and the readers get to know the man or woman behind the blog.
The nominated blogger has to answer 11 questions and nominate 5 other new bloggers.
With this, I want to thank Janet of That One Time for the nomination. I am really happy with it. Read the 11 questions to Janet on That One Time here.
When reading the Travelblog of Janet, I instantly want to pack my bags. The photos she takes of her destinations are breathtakingly beautiful.
A selection from her destinations: Africa, Asia, Europe, America. Really worth visiting.
The 11 questions
1. Of all the countries that you have visited, which country do you like the most?
Greece. I lived there, and the culture, the people, the food, the climate, nature, well, everything has always made me feel at home. With all those islands that form Greece, you will always be impressed by the diversity of nature and environment.
2. Bike or train?
I have a creaky bike, so that will definitely be the train.
I leave the car at home easily when I have to go to destinations where I know that the train brings me to the center and I do not have to worry about parking and costs anymore. From Varsseveld to Arnhem is such a route. And to Scheveningen. Do you know what a crime Scheveningen is for cars? It will cost you 10 years of your life, easily, the traffic stress over there.
3. What is the scariest thing you have experienced during your travels?
I went with Benji, my dog, to the 2008 European Football Championships in Bern.
During the Dutch-Italy match on the fan square, I was deprived of my wallet with all the passes and the money that I had with me.
No money = not pay the parking ticket = sleep in the car in a parking garage until the next day. On my own. Ok, with Benji.
In the middle of the night, I heard a loud echoing, sort of sighing sound throughout the garage. Very spooky.
Armed with a wine bottle, I sneaked through the building to the night security office. Once there, the good man was sleeping with his head on the desk. Next to an open microphone! You can imagine how I woke him up …
4. When do you have time to blog?
Online Budget Coaching and blogging is my profession.
I have a nice, attractive office at home, where I work as everyone else during office hours. With the difference that my work is my passion, which unfortunately is not for everyone. I often realize that.
This office also functions, with small adjustments, as a guest room for the grandchildren. So if they come over, it is not possible to blog or coach. This has the advantage that I take a break and focus on what is the most important thing at that moment: enjoy the kids.
5. Where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world?
In a big, very luxurious camper. Traveling around the world, starting at the Celtic caves in England and then following the mythical route.
The whole idea of setting up Budget Diva Magazine and online coaching is to be a digital nomad. In other words, being able to travel the world, while working online.
6. What is the post you wrote yourself and what you are really proud of and why?
The post that I am really happy with is Women’s guide to invest
Because it stands for what I want with Budget Diva Magazine: the independence of women in their own finances. Encourage their control again over it and make smart choices in the area of Personal Finance, so that they are not live in poverty, but can enjoy life and all it has to offer. Now, but also when they retire.
Learning that is not a word that means you are restricted, but rather look for ways to expand it. Never settle for what you have, always look for opportunities and use them to make more of your life. Mindset changes their love/ hate relationship with money in positive feelings and actions.
I think that makes it clear that I am not a site full of tips in the sense of flattened toilet rolls to save sheets. I find that clarity very important.
7. What is your favorite book or series?
I have a lot of favorite books; I just like to read.
If I really have to choose, it will be Wuthering Heights by Emily Brönte. I have several memories and connections with that.
I was a 13-year-old die-hard fan of Kate Bush when she released the eponymous single. I danced at the time and started to attend play-back contests, complete with a long red wig. With that, I sometimes won a competition.
Inspired on by this song, I started reading this book, and that became my very first English-language book. I had to read it in English. Otherwise, it was not authentic, I thought.
I can not tell you how long it took me to finish it, with the help of a dictionary, but I succeeded. From cover to cover. And I also understood it, not entirely unimportant. And oh yes, it is also a very nice book that can be read more than once.
This was also the discovery of my love for foreign languages.
8. If you were a character in someone’s book, which author would you like that to be?
Without a doubt Geert Kimpen.
That man can write so honestly, sensually, right down to your heart. You are held from start to finish, stuck into his books.
He makes the women in his books wonderful beings full of passion and honest desire. Adored, without slimy rubbish. You want to meet them. Experience them. To touch them. To smell them. Talk to them. And you understand them perfectly. You just want to be them. Yes, that would be a huge compliment.
9. Have you ever visited a place, purely because you saw it in a book/ series/ film/animation and which place was that?
The White House, the Smithsonian Museum, and the Washington Monument.
I just had the idea that you had to be there once in your life. And I was right. 1 Time’s enough.
10. If you could give away € 1,000,000.00, to whom would you give that?
To The Forgotten Child. A foundation in The Netherlands.
There are so many children who are the victims of not so smart choices of adults. They are often forgotten in their needs and deserve so much more attention. That is why Budget Diva Magazine joined this foundation to support them. A part of the purchase of every product on this site goes to this foundation. So that million is theirs if I would get the chance.
Children have and are the future. Let that be a good one.
11.What is the best or best purchase you have ever done?
That’s Benji. My Jack Russell.
Purchased from friends almost 14 years ago. He was the first from the litter to crawl towards me, and it was love at first sight. We are inseparable from day one.
I dare to say that it is my biggest little friend. The love of my life, in the area of animals. We traveled around Europe together, with every imaginable means of transport. We lived in many different places and countries. Met countless numbers of people.
You can say that we have made a lot of memories together and every day I am still grateful that cannot talk ….
Now I have to nominate 5 of my favorite bloggers who also deserve a Liebster Award. I find them all very motivating, stimulating or entertaining.
This site is a new coaching site for busy moms.
Here you can find a lot of tips to keep up with the daily tasks.
Then there is an amazing coaching program to learn all the skills you need to handle work, home, kids, relationships without losing your mind.
At this moment there is a 3 Months Coaching Program Give-Away if you sign in for the newsletter. Even if you’re not the lucky winner, this newsletter is worth signing up for.
Started in 2013 her blog in 2013 to document her journey of weight loss, you can say that this is no new blog.
However, at the end 2016 Alexis reorganized her space to a Personal Finance blog. That’s how I discovered her, and I follow her from day one.
This a nice blog that I often visit for positive mindsets on days I am not that positive. Sure you have them too, so visit and read…
You feel better in no time.
I love this blog for its honesty and humorous look on daily issues in women’s live.
This blog is brand new. My dear friend Gaydaa is the power woman behind this site. She wants to bring back the feminine in de women today. Her coaching programs help us to stand tall in the masculine environment at work but get in touch with our softer side when we are at home.
Thank you for stopping by and reading my post.
Enjoy these 5 nominated blogs.
Have a great day!
